چکیده
Abstract Blended Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA) concrete has the potential for application in organic acid environments such as peat land. However, there is a need to improve resistance of blended POFA using silica fume pozzolanic material. There are limited studies admixed with exposure. In this study, compressive strength, porosity, and sorptivity been investigated by exposing samples water. Portland Composite Cement (PCC) similar target strength was used control mix. The contained 0%, 20% 40% cement substitute. Micro or added concentrations 10% each mixture. specimens attack were measured porosity development at 7, 28 91 days. Compressive mix declined, while PCC PCC-POFA containing increased Porosity OFA followed same trend strength. Thus, better water than that

Modeling of Compressive Strength for Self-Consolidating High-Strength Concrete Incorporating Palm Oil Fuel Ash
Modeling is a very useful method for the performance prediction of concrete. Most of the models available in literature are related to the compressive strength because it is a major mechanical property used in concrete design. Many attempts were taken to develop suitable mathematical models for the prediction of compressive strength of different concretes, but not for self-consolidating high-st...
متن کاملDevelopment of Self-Consolidating High Strength Concrete Incorporating Treated Palm Oil Fuel Ash
Palm oil fuel ash (POFA) has previously been used as a partial cement replacement in concrete. However, limited research has been undertaken to utilize POFA in high volume in concrete. This paper presents a study on the treatment and utilization of POFA in high volume of up to 50% by weight of cement in self-consolidating high strength concrete (SCHSC). POFA was treated via heat treatment to re...
متن کاملBinary Effect of Fly Ash and Palm Oil Fuel Ash on Heat of Hydration Aerated Concrete
The binary effect of pulverized fuel ash (PFA) and palm oil fuel ash (POFA) on heat of hydration of aerated concrete was studied. Three aerated concrete mixes were prepared, namely, concrete containing 100% ordinary Portland cement (control sample or Type I), binary concrete made from 50% POFA (Type II), and ternary concrete containing 30% POFA and 20% PFA (Type III). It is found that the tempe...
متن کاملHierarchical Order of Influence of Mix Variables Affecting Compressive Strength of Sustainable Concrete Containing Fly Ash, Copper Slag, Silica Fume, and Fibres
Experiments have been conducted to study the effect of addition of fly ash, copper slag, and steel and polypropylene fibres on compressive strength of concrete and to determine the hierarchical order of influence of the mix variables in affecting the strength using cluster analysis experimentally. While fly ash and copper slag are used for partial replacement of cement and fine aggregate, respe...
متن کاملImproving the workability and strength of silica fume concrete by using silane-treated silica fume
Mortar with high workability even without a water-reducing agent and with high tensile and compressive strengths (3.1 and 78 MPa, respectively) was obtained by using as an admixture silica fume that had been surface treated with a silane coupling agent. The treatment enhanced the wettability of silica fume by water, thereby increasing the workability of the mortar mix. It also enhanced the bond...
